Today is our last day in London and we left it somewhat unplanned. We decided to head to Harrod’s Department store for some window shopping.
On the way we found Chloe’s very own shop.
We saw several items that made of think of Chloe’s dad, Will. There was a great Lego section, including an awesome Lego model of Harrod’s and some glass “balloon" sculptures.
We then picked up some sandwiches at a local food mart and headed to Hyde Park for a picnic. After walking a bit we had our picnic lunch and then walked over to Kensington Palace...
We saw lots of birds at the large pond in front of the palace.
In Hyde Park we also saw the Italian Garden, which was very pretty indeed with its large pool and fountains.
We were back mid-afternoon to pick up laundry and pack. We also stopped at GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen) for a last set of chocolate milk shakes.
Chloe was very attentive and interested in all the museums and castles – she listened to all the audio tapes and read most of the signs. She clearly takes after Nana for her interest in English history and in reading and listening to all the information. She is a great traveler.
