June 29 – Various Sights in London

We all slept in today because of our late night the day before.  We missed breakfast at the hotel so headed down for breakfast at the Prince of Teck Pub near us.  They had American style pancakes.  Yummy.

Today was a mix of activities.  Our tube stop took us close to St. Paul’s Cathedral so of course we had to stop for pictures.

Then it was on to the Tate Modern Art Museum.  Nana and Papa are only minimally fans of modern art but Chloe seems to like all types of art.  There were certainly some very unusual art pieces.

After exhausting the Tate (or really ourselves) we wandered the streets some more and had lunch.

In the afternoon we saw the musical Stomp.  We all enjoyed it.  This is the stage…no photos during the performance.

Afterward the show we did a bit more research and eventually found Cecil Court, a better inspiration of Diagon Valley, but straight not winding.

We eventually ended up at Kings Cross station and Platform 9 ¾ (again from the Harry Potter movies).  As part of getting her photo taken she was also issued an acceptance letter for admission to Hogwart's

We had dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant and then took the underground back to the hotel.
