We were picked up by our driver and transferred to our AirBnB near the Sacre Coeur. This is our first try at staying at an AirBnB. And we love our apartment. We have a lovely one bedroom flat with a small kitchen. And we have a view (from a distance of the Sacre Coeur from our 6th floor window).
After settling in we headed off towards the Sacre Coeur but the crowds were pretty big and Chloe wasn’t interested in climbing the steps to the top. Since it was pretty overcast we figured the views wouldn’t be that great so we didn’t push it.
Upon seeing a crepe vendor Chloe decided she needed a snack so she got a crepe with banana and Nutella. Yummy!
We then went on errands. We wandered the area at the base of the Sacre Coeur for about a half hour. Then found an ATM where Paul got some money and then we went shopping for fruit and cereal for breakfasts.
Late afternoon we took the Metro to the center of Paris where we saw the Eiffel Tower from a distance and walked along the Seine River.
We spent some time in the Tuileries Gardens...
and at the front of the Louvre Museum.
We ended the day with a night bus tour of the main parts of the city. We went by the Notre Dame Cathedral fairly early in the tour so it was still a bit light.
Some of the other buildings were also nicely lit.
It was full dark when we got to the Eiffel Tower and it was particularly pretty lit up, especially when the lights started twinkling.
